COMMUNITY
Vila Brasil
SWe are an award winning, woman-owned language school in Brasilia that has been teaching professionals and students since 2012. We like to be seen as a community. Here we promote, in addition to Portuguese classes for foreigners, English, Spanish and French courses. We also offer empathetic training for language teachers and opportunities for sharing ideas and experiences.
Our positioning is close to the values of conscious capitalism: sensitivity, affection, and creativity, thus reflecting the personality of our founder Ana Luíza Gabatteli, who believes that language has the power to bring together, welcome and transform society.

JOURNEY
Our history
Vila Brasil was founded in 2012 as a Portuguese language school for foreigners in Brasília, created by women. Colleagues Ana Luíza Gabatteli and Ailana Cota, both Portuguese teachers for foreigners at the time, decided to face the challenge of opening the first school in Brasilia.
In the beginning, there were just over 10 students, mostly diplomats and embassies’ military attachés. Over the years, our mission has changed and today we see ourselves as a community where language is seen as an agent of social transformation.
All the experiences we promote reflect our mission to bring society together, welcoming and transforming them through language and culture, thus stimulating a more inclusive and more diverse communication.
